Long post, I want to give clarification for some after being asked by commissioners how things work, in the spring season we have a draft which is put in place by my board and has been for 15 + years as a director I don’t get involved in coaches picks as in the draft rules , each head coach is allowed to have his child, the draft order is determined by drawing numbers, we do a snake draft I/e if you pick first you get a pick if you pick last you will get 2 picks in the first round and it continues that way until all players are chosen, as a director my job in a draft is just to write the pick beside team name again I don’t get involved in picks per rule, in the fall we will let you keep your team from the spring so they get more reps we don’t keep score in the fall as it’s just an opportunity for kids to get more practice , if you have any questions you can call me at 252-341-3261 .
