๐Ÿฅณ๐ŸŒŸCongratulations to our SGA President Pamela Bishop!

๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŒŸ Meet Pamela Bishop โ€“ All-Arizona Academic Team Honoree! ๐ŸŒŸ NPC proudly celebrates Pamela Bishop, who has been named to the prestigious All-Arizona Academic Team! ๐ŸŽ‰

This honor recognizes students who maintain a 3.5 GPA or higher, are working toward an associate degree, and demonstrate leadership and community service. Pamela exemplifies all of these qualities and more. She will receive a tuition waiver to cover up to 60 credits at one of Arizonaโ€™s three public universities.

An adult learner and passionate advocate for education, Pamela currently serves as a tutor at NPC, supporting students pursuing their High School Equivalency (GEDยฎ), brushing up on skills, or returning to college. As President of NPCโ€™s Student Government Association and Eagle Club, she works to foster belonging, leadership, and cultural awareness across campus. She also volunteers regularly with St. Maryโ€™s Food Bank, helping support communities across Northeast Arizona.

Having overcome significant personal challenges, Pamela is committed to uplifting others and ensuring students feel seen, heard, and supported.

She will graduate this spring with her associate degree and plans to transfer to Northern Arizona University to pursue her bachelorโ€™s and masterโ€™s degrees.

Congratulations, Pamela! Your dedication, resilience, and leadership inspire us all! ๐Ÿฆ…๐Ÿ’™ READ MORE ABOUT PAMELA: https://www.npc.edu/pamela

Great conversations, great pizza, and even greater ideas! ๐Ÿ•๐Ÿ’ก

Thank you to all the NPC students who joined in the Student Spaces โ€“ Needs & Wants discussions with President Dr. Von Lawson. We appreciate everyone who came, shared ideas, and voiced what kinds of spaces would help you learn, connect, and succeed on campus. Your voices matter and they help improve campus life. ๐Ÿ™Œ

President Lawson says that he wants NPC to be more than just a college. He wants NPC to be a place youโ€™ll look back on and say โ€œThatโ€™s where I had fun, made friends, and built memories Iโ€™ll never forget.โ€ ๐Ÿ’™

Big thanks to the Eagle Club for organizing last Saturdayโ€™s Leadership Conference! It was a great opportunity to learn, connect, and grow as leaders.

It was the first-ever Leadership Conference at NPC hosted by the Eagle Club. Students and staff who joined the conference were nominated by others which shows that their leadership skills were noticed and recognized.

According to Shandiin Deputee, Eagle Club adviser, it took about a year to prepare for the conference. She shared that they were really glad to see students and staff attend and make it all worth it.

Want to be part of the Eagle Club or learn more?
