Today at the splash pad, sand was placed in the drains, which can damage the system and create maintenance issues. If this continues, we may need to temporarily close the splash pad for cleaning and repairs. While some incidental sand is to be expected, please help us by discouraging your children from intentionally bringing sand onto the splash pad.

We received amazing feedback about hosting a rabies clinic—so we’re excited to make it happen!

📅 Rabies Vaccination Clinic
🗓 May 30th
⏰ 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
📍 Frederickson Park – Snowflake

We will be offering:
• Rabies vaccinations
• Parvo shots
• Microchips
• Dog licenses

🐾 The first 25 participants will receive ONE free microchip!

Important reminders:
• All dogs must be on a leash
• Cash only
• First come, first served

To save time at check-in, you can request forms ahead of time by emailing [email protected]. Forms must be completed prior to receiving services.

We’re also happy to have Navajo County Animal Control joining us—they will be on-site selling county dog tags.

Update: SURPRISE!!!
Opening maintenance has gone so well that we’re going to try and open for the season! We get it ready for schools to use at the end of the school year and we’re going to leave it on in between this year.

Congratulations to City of Winslow for maintaining the lead for the second week in a row! Overall, the City of Winslow and Dilkon combined have returned more Community Health Assessment Surveys than any other community in Navajo County.

Curious about weekly stats?
This week alone:
Winslow is tops at returning 35 surveys.
Town of Snowflake and Town of Taylor are in second place this week with returning 28 surveys.
The City of Show Low returned 27 surveys, putting them in third place for the weekly results.
Town of Pinetop-Lakeside showed up with an impressive 15 survey responses with Holbrook right on their heels with 14.

*Note: some communities were combined based on geographical proximity to the nearest school district. Examples: Holbrook's total includes responses from Sun Valley and Woodruff. Winslow's total includes responses from Dilkon. Heber-Overgaard's total includes responses from Clay Springs, etc...
The survey closes out on April 30th.

Online Reservations for the facilities of Snowflake Taylor Recreation and Parks include the pool (Snowflake), the large and small ramadas on the south end of Pioneer Park (Snowflake), Freeman Park ramada (Taylor), and the Rodeo Grounds ramada (Taylor). The bad news is, we won't be opening the splash pad ahead of schedule, even though the weather has been amazing!

The good news is, we will be opening the splash pad for Memorial Day weekend, per the normal schedule.
