Coyotes are now entering "pupping season" where they give birth and begin to raise their young in and around their chosen den sites. This means that while the young are vulnerable, adults will be territorial and protect their pups from perceived threats such as dogs. Snowmass Village is an amazing landscape that provides ample territory for coyotes to thrive. By understanding coyote behavior during this season, you can help ensure the safety of both yourself and your pets. Help us prevent pet-wildlife conflicts by following these tips and reporting coyote related incidents.
