Coyotes are highly adaptable and thrive in a variety of environments—from open prairies and deserts to mountain regions and urban neighborhoods. As long as shelter and food are available, coyotes can settle almost anywhere. In rural areas where hunting is common, they tend to remain wary of humans. However, in urban or protected settings, coyotes may become bolder, sometimes posing a threat to pets and, in rare cases, people. Increased awareness and proactive measures are essential to safely coexist with these intelligent and resourceful animals.

Snowmass Mountainside Music Festival is this week.

The Festival is held on the F***y Hill Concert Stage at the end of the Snowmass Mall. Free parking is available at Town Park Station and the Brush Creek Intercept Lot, with free shuttles to the Snowmass Mall & Base Village. Additional options include RFTA Roaring Fork Transportation Authority bus service from Aspen and the Brush Creek Park & Ride, or the free Village Shuttle service throughout Snowmass Village. It is best to get off at the Snowmass Mall stop.
