Ivy Academy Chattanooga Ivy Academy is a tuition-free, public charter middle and high school in Hamilton There is no tuition for a charter school.

Ivy receives the same per pupil allotment as every other public school in Hamilton County. As an environmental charter school, Ivy Academy instruction happens more in the outdoors than in the four walls of the classroom.

🌧️ On this rainy day, we're missing the sunny days spent indigo dyeing in Chemistry class!

Students in Ms. Beach’s Chemistry class explored the science behind indigo dyeing while creating their own vibrant blue fabrics. Along the way, they learned about oxidation and reduction reactions, pH, solubility, and watched as oxygen transformed indigo from green to a rich, deep blue right before their eyes.

It's the perfect example of the hands-on, real-world learning that makes Ivy so special and it's safe to say we're missing our students and these incredible experiences this summer! 🧪🌿✨

Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave everything for freedoms they would never personally enjoy.

“How do you put into words the gratitude you have toward complete strangers - people you’ll never meet, but who sacrificed their entire existence for you and your family?”

At our school, we strive to live out our motto every day:
We are Scholars. We are Stewards. We are Volunteers.

This Memorial Day, may we teach our students that stewardship means remembering, gratitude means honoring, and service means carrying forward the values so many heroes fought to protect.

Our racing team had an incredible weekend in Talladega! We are so proud of our students’ hard work all school year long. Being part of this team has taught them so much - teamwork, strategy, knowledge growth, excitement, confidence, perseverance, and sportsmanship.

A huge thank you to Mr. Webb for leading such a fun and engaging sport - our students couldn’t have had this experience without your guidance! Way to go, team!
