The scammers are back at it. We have also seen an uptick in the same scam. Please stay cautious and read this piece of advice from the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office - TN. Please share so we can all do our part in preventing more victims.

⚠️ Scam Alert

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office is warning the public about a recent increase in scams involving individuals falsely claiming to be one of our personnel.

In these scams, callers tell victims they have missed jury duty, grand jury, have an open warrant, or have failed to complete required legal paperwork and must immediately pay a fine or they will be arrested.

Please be advised: The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office will never contact you by phone to request money, demand payment of fines, or instruct you to purchase prepaid debit cards.

Official correspondence from the HCSO or county courts is delivered only through proper legal channels, typically by mail.

If you believe you have been the victim of a scam or wish to report suspicious activity, please contact the HCSO non-emergency number at 423-622-0022.

A Heartfelt Thank You to Redemption Ranch K9 Rescue

First and foremost, we extend our gratitude to Redemption Ranch K9 Rescue for providing dogs with a second chance and a new purpose!

K9 Handler Corporal Faith Dabbs has made us exceptionally proud by not only finding a new K9 for our department but also by securing a rescued dog already trained for police work. We are excited to introduce our newest police officer, K9 Ranger. In recent weeks, Cpl. Dabbs and Ranger have trained together daily, braving the biting cold and snowfall of central Indiana. We are confident that both will become invaluable assets to our team moving forward. Congratulations to you both on graduating from Redemption Ranch K9 Rescue and earning your certification!

Get ready for the tail-wagging tale of K9 Ranger… Stay tuned!

The annual Christmas celebration and award ceremony for the Soddy-Daisy Police Department took place this evening, and we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us.

A special thank you to our guests from the American Legion!

We would also like to give a big thank you to another special guest, the sweetest lady around, Mrs. McGarrity! Out of her kindness, she generously brings us the most delicious fresh-baked cookies each week. Over time, she has become like family to us, and we are genuinely grateful and fortunate to have her in our lives!

We had a productive time discussing first responders and safety protocols. Thank you to MVA for having us. Special thanks to MVA staff, Cpl. Dabbs - K9 Bo, Ofc. Richmond, and Ofc. Gibson!

We understand that school traffic is a common problem at almost every school. The first week is always a challenge, but as the week progresses, we will make adjustments as needed. Please be patient and allow the first few days to pass. If you live on Springfield Rd, we are working with the school to improve traffic flow and mitigate congestion.

Reminder: Hamilton County Schools resume tomorrow.

Please use caution while driving through school zones and obey posted speed limits. Be advised that school zone speed enforcement cameras will be reactivated tomorrow. These cameras operate during morning arrival and afternoon dismissal. Note that when school zone speed limit signs are flashing, the cameras will be enforcing the posted school zone speed limit.

Let's strive for another safe and successful school year!
