Here are our Trojan Spotlights from last week! We are so proud of these individuals! They are great representatives of our SDMS CORE values!
STUDENT SPOTLIGHT ⭐
6th Grade - Olivia Welch brings a positive attitude to class each day and helps her classmates keep their ELA textbooks neat and organized. She is always willing to lend a hand and consistently demonstrates our CORE values!
7th Grade - Liberty Butler is such a model student! She has a great sense of humor and works so well with other students. She also stays engaged in classwork, puts effort into each assignment, and works to include others in group work. She is respectful and sincere, and we’re glad to have her on the 7th grade team this year!
8th Grade - Addison Murphy truly leads by example. She is always willing to step up as a leader and lend a helping hand wherever she is needed. She demonstrates every one of our CORE values each and every day through her actions, attitude, and dedication. She consistently has a positive attitude and a smile to share with everyone around her. Addison is an incredible role model for the entire student body.
STAFF SPOTLIGHT 👏 - Jake Peterson has a clear vision for building the SDMS band program. He is not only building connections with staff but with students. He arranged for Giant Steps to come to our school and had students try out each instrument to identify their natural strengths. He managed to get 55 sixth graders excited about joining the band! Mr. Peterson brings great energy to SDMS. We are so thankful he chose to come to SDMS.
