Happy Monday!

Coming up on June 27th, we’re going to be at the Soddy Farmers Market with some simple sack lunches that are FREE to anyone with a need. Maybe you’re going through hard times. Maybe you just want to “penny pinch” for a larger goal. Whatever the reason everyone deserves a worry-free meal. So come out and see what your neighbors are crafting up and get a free sandwich while you’re at it!

You do not have to RSVP but it helps us determine how much we need to bring. You can do so by the QR code or the link we will post in the comments.

It's not our most exciting update, but the time has finally come for us to hold out our caps and humbly request some alms. Your donation will help host these events that Jess Meroney has thus far paid for out of pocket. Not that she minds, but mama could use a new pair of shoes. It is also going to help us set up a permanent establishment where we can feed all of y'all on a consistent basis. Which is why our goal is so large.

Anyone who has ever had a meal cooked by Casia Gunner knows that she does NOT play about flavor or about food sensitivities. So, we hope you'll take a chance on us and help us establish a local eatery that will offer a seat at the table to anyone in need of a meal, regardless of any dietary or financial restrictions.

Happy Friday y'all! We've got two FREE community events coming up that we want to talk about. Please see the flyers below for the date, time, and location of each event. You can RSVP via the QR code on the flyer. We will also post links in the comments directly below.

The first event is a simple picnic pop-up during the Soddy Farmer's Market. Come and get a simple lunch and peruse some wares. If you have any other needs like clothing or pantry items please reach out, and we can get these items to you at the market on June 27th.

Our second event at the end of July is going to be geared towards getting kids ready to go back to school! We are asking people to donate whatever they are comfortable with. My partner and his brother are going to be manning the grill, but we are asking our neighbors to bring some sides to do this thing potluck style! You can also bring school supplies or clothes.

Parents, grandparents, foster parents, and other caretakers. We see you. We are here for you. If you have a need for your kiddo before school starts back, please reach out so we can keep you in mind as we get supplies. You can message us here on FB or send an email to: [email protected].

We are actively seeking people to do face paint or whatever could make the event in July more fun. We will have a tie-dye station again, but with a professional this round. I am going to have a few shirts for kiddos, but supplies are limited so we encourage people to B.Y.O.S (Bring Your own Shirt).

At the end of the day, we just want to make sure our neighbors are fed, clothed, and that they feel supported by their local community. So, come out and join the fun and become a part of the village! In the very near future, we will be announcing an easier way to donate regularly and get your fancy, dancey, tax write-off receipt while you're at it.

Good morning and happy Monday everybody! I’m going to dump a lot of info today, but will be sure to go more into detail over the next few weeks.

First, we are finally going to be releasing a monthly newsletter to allow people to stay more up to date on events. A portion of the newsletter is going to be saved exclusively for paid subscribers in the near future to allow us to raise money for events. But this first one will be free. Be sure to subscribe.

Second, for those who have been wanting to donate financially…you can finally do so through our venmo! Give us your money. If you feel so inclined.

And lastly, we have our next three events planned out. July is going to be a back-to-school event where we hope to feed folks while distributing some school supplies. Donations are very welcome for this project. I’m dumping a lot but like I said, I’ll be sure to break things up over the next few weeks. If y’all have any questions please feel free to reach out!
