Solana Ranch 5th-grade students recently organized a special “Circulation Day,” giving new life to items that students no longer needed. The event functioned like a kid-powered, free rummage sale, where students could bring in gently used items and other students could choose something to take home, all with the goal of reducing waste and encouraging reuse.

In addition to promoting sustainability, SBSD students practiced negotiation skills as they developed the event guidelines and demonstrated teamwork and peacekeeping throughout the trading process.
