Will you say ?

Today, Solana Beach is joining American Coastal Coalition members across the country to launch the 2026 campaign, to demonstrate public support for America's beaches.

Coastal communities deserve a unified voice. 129 million Americans live within 50 miles of the coast. Our beaches protect communities from storms, power local economies and ecosystems, and belong to all of us.

All summer long, we're making sure Congress hears us loud and clear. We will be campaigning around the issues that matter most: economic & environmental impact, storm protection, community highlights, and direct calls to action for you and our representatives in Congress.

Love your beach? Help us save the shore. Find more info or at www.americancoastalcoalition.org/yestobeaches2026.

Bikes are an emissions-free and healthy alternative to driving by car, which is why the City continues to promote bike usage each year. This Thursday, May 21st, is Bike Anywhere Day! Take your bike to work, school, or anywhere, and stop by the City’s booth with the NCTD between 6:30 - 9:30 AM at the Solana Beach Train Station for refreshments!

Poll Question: How often do you ride your bike in Solana Beach?

The next generation of lifeguards starts here! As one of the longest-running Junior Lifeguard programs in San Diego County, the Solana Beach Junior Lifeguard (SBJG) program has been training and inspiring kids since the early 80s.

Countless program graduates return as SBJG Interns, continuing the tradition and helping inspire more than 1,200 kids each year. Many of our City lifeguards got their start as JGs and JG Interns.

Recruitment is now open for JG Interns (ages 16+) and summer lifeguards (ages 18+) who are passionate about ocean safety and mentoring youth. Apply at the link in bio.

Program registration opens March 14 at 9:00 AM.
