Solana Beach Eco Rotary Club We educate ourselves and our community about environmental challenges and solutions.

We are a service organization based in Solana Beach, California, one of 34,000 Rotary clubs around the world, part of a community of 1,200,000 Rotarians who value service above self. As an Eco Rotary Club, our service focuses on how we - all of us - relate to each other and the living web of which we are a part. Ecology focuses on "relationships between living organisms and their environment." Whi

le we share the growing concern that we are living beyond our means ecologically, we share in the vision that all Earth's inhabitants may enjoy a high quality of life in harmony with nature. Our intent is to understand the challenge of living sustainably, and to identify, implement and communicate best practices in our neighborhood and throughout Rotary.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support us at the 23rd Annual Encinitas Wine and Food Festival! We hope you had as much fun as we did!

A special thanks to our donors and sponsors for the silent auction and raffles. Community support is so important to the work we do and we couldn't do it with out you! And a huge thank you to all our volunteers. It's the hours of work behind the scenes that you don't see that makes it such a success!

Again this year, this was a zero-waste event by partnering with vendors and EDCO to reduce waste and properly manage recycling and compost. We filled 20 green bins, 26 blue bins and had just a small bag of landfill trash and successfully saved at least 95% of waste from landfill!
