There’s something special about small-town strength and a big part of that comes from our local volunteer fire departments. 🚒

Day in and day out, these men and women show up, not just for their own communities, but for each other. Through mutual aid agreements, departments come together without hesitation, bringing extra hands, equipment, and support when it’s needed most.

It’s more than teamwork it’s trust, dedication, and a shared commitment to keeping all of our communities safe. We’re grateful for the way our departments stand side by side, proving that when we work together, we’re stronger than ever.

This past weekend kept our department extremely busy, as our volunteers responded to multiple structure fires and wild-land fires across our district, along with providing assistance on a fire in our mutual aid district in Pottawatomie County.

We want to extend a sincere thank you to all of our mutual aid departments who answered the call and stood alongside us on our incidents. Your support, teamwork, and commitment to serving our communities does not go unnoticed. Circleville Fire Department Holton Fire Department Holton, KS Hoyt Rural Fire District #3 Jackson County EMS

Most importantly, we want to recognize our firefighters. Every one of them is a volunteer who put aside their personal time, families, and responsibilities to answer the call again and again throughout the entire weekend. Their dedication to helping others in times of need is something our community can be incredibly proud of.

We also need to recognize our community members who took time out of their day to bring out cold water and Gatorade to keep our firefighters hydrated. To the family members who prepared food for us your support cannot go unrecognized.
