On 7 May 2026, Fleet Readiness Center Aviation Support Equipment Site Solomons, Maryland, held a command safety standdown and picnic, bringing the team together to focus on safety, readiness, and the people who make the mission happen every day.

Commander Huff, Director of FRCASE, discussed current Naval Aviation readiness initiatives and highlighted the critical role FRCASE plays in delivering aviation support equipment capabilities to combat forces across the fleet. From depot-level repair to forward readiness generation, FRCASE remains focused on ensuring the Navy and Marine Corps team has the equipment needed to launch, recover, and maintain aircraft wherever the mission requires.

The event also included a special recognition for a dedicated civilian teammate with 40 years of service to FRCASE. This milestone reflects decades of professionalism, commitment, and lasting contributions to the support equipment mission.

Events like this reinforce what makes FRCASE strong: a team committed to safety, readiness, and service to the fleet.

Fleet Readiness Center Aviation Support Equipment recently recognized several members of the FRCASE team for their outstanding contributions to mission readiness and continued commitment to service.

Plaques were presented by Seabrook Solutions, LLC to the artisans who supported the Support Equipment Sustainment Team Overseas Repair Mission in Bahrain, better known as SE-STORM. Their efforts were instrumental in delivering forward-deployed support equipment repair capability directly to the fleet, helping restore critical assets and improve readiness where it was needed most.

FRCASE also had the privilege of recognizing several government civilians with longevity awards for their dedicated years of federal service. These milestones represent decades of professionalism, technical expertise, and commitment to the Navy and Marine Corps team.

Whether through forward-deployed repair missions, depot-level sustainment, or decades of faithful service, the men and women of FRCASE continue to prove that SE readiness is readiness.

Congratulations to all awardees, and thank you for your continued dedication to the fleet!

On April 1, 1893, the rank of Chief Petty Officer was officially established in the United States Navy—marking the beginning of a legacy of deckplate leadership, accountability, and unwavering commitment to mission and Sailors.

Today, we celebrate 133 years of the United States Navy Chief Petty Officer. For more than a century, Chiefs have served as the backbone of our Navy—leading from the front, mentoring the next generation, enforcing standards, and ensuring warfighting readiness across the fleet.

To all Chief Petty Officers, past and present, thank you for your sacrifice, leadership, and enduring dedication to our Navy and our nation.

Happy Birthday, Chiefs!

FRCASE proudly welcomes home its SE-STORM team following a successful mission that restored 31 pieces of support equipment to Ready for Issue (RFI) status and delivered meaningful readiness impact forward.

Especially in light of the current conditions across the Middle East, the team’s safe return home is a significant milestone. At FRCASE, the mission is not complete until our teammates are home safely.

This deployment showcased the power of forward-deployed depot-level repair and the professionalism, expertise, and dedication of the FRCASE team.

ASCM Jason Block, FRCASE Senior Enlisted Leader, joined AIMD / ASD Bahrain in celebrating the 60th Birthday of the Aviation Support Equipment Technician (AS) community.

For six decades, AS Sailors have been the backbone of naval aviation — ensuring the equipment that launches, recovers, tests, and sustains our aircraft is ready when and where it’s needed.

From flight line to forward-deployed operations, their expertise directly enables mission success across the globe.

No Air Support Without Ground Support.

Happy 60th Birthday to the AS community — your impact on readiness is unmatched.

FRCASE has been busy — making positive impacts to aviation readiness both at home and abroad.

Recently, FRCASE deployed a highly skilled team of depot-level aviation support equipment artisans to Aviation Intermediate Maintenance Detachment Bahrain (AIMD Bahrain) to directly increase readiness and restore critical capability in theater.

SE-STORM (Support Equipment Sustainment Team Overseas Repair Mission) is a Fleet Readiness Center Aviation Support Equipment (FRCASE) initiative that delivers rapid, forward-deployed depot-level support directly to Navy and Marine Corps units stationed OCONUS — where readiness is needed most.

SE-STORM deploys skilled technicians, tools, parts, and technical expertise to the point of need. By repairing support equipment forward, instead of shipping it back to the United States, we significantly reduce turnaround time and restore capability faster — ensuring operational units remain mission-ready.

Support Equipment is the backbone of flight operations. Aircraft cannot launch, recover, or be maintained without it. For OCONUS units operating in demanding and dynamic environments, equipment downtime directly impacts operational capability. SE-STORM closes that gap.

Through SE-STORM, FRCASE strengthens global aviation readiness by:

• Delivering depot-level repair capability directly to OCONUS units
• Reducing logistics delays and equipment downtime
• Expanding forward repair capacity in high-demand theaters
• Providing measurable readiness impact at the tactical edge

FRCASE remains committed to agile, forward-leaning solutions that support our warfighters — wherever the mission takes them.

No Air Support without Ground Support!
