We are a council of governments which means our community members are active in our how our organization is managed. Since 2001 we have saved our members hundreds of millions in cumulative energy savings and awarded over $28 million in energy efficiency grants. 🚨 We've received reports of scammers impersonating NOPEC via phone call.

Residents have reported receiving phone calls from someone impersonating NOPEC, making claims about their bill and pressuring them to take action.

As a reminder, NOPEC will NEVER call or visit your home unexpectedly to request account information, ask for copies of your bill, or pressure you to switch suppliers.

If something feels off, especially if there's urgency or pressure, it's likely a scam. Do not share any information.

If you're unsure, contact NOPEC directly at 855-667-3201 to verify or report suspicious activity.

If you are going to be away from your home for an extended period it pays to turn up your thermostat during the summer months. 💵

Turning up the A/C by 5-6 degrees ensures that the unit will be running less throughout the day. With nobody home, you can keep the temperature a few degrees higher and still keep it cool enough to where no adverse effects of your home being too hot would take place! ✅
