Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital

Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital (SYVCH) is a designated Critical Access Hospital.

Offering acute-care services to the Santa Ynez Valley since 1964, Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital (SYVCH) provides outpatient surgery, 24-hour emergency services, and a physician office lease program that brings specialists to the Valley on a regular basis. Services include; emergency medicine, surgical services, radiology (including MRI, Digital Mammography, and other imaging services), cardiac rehabilitation, nutritional counseling and classes, and laboratory services.

Mark your calendar! Free flu vaccines will be available for the community at Cottage Urgent Care Buellton Village from September 14 through October 16.

Vaccines are available for participants ages 12 and older. Availability is limited, so community members are encouraged to schedule an appointment in advance.

Congratulations to our 2026 summer interns on the successful completion of their 10-week internship!

The program concluded with our Summer Intern Showcase, where interns shared their departmental projects, key takeaways and reflections through poster sessions and presentations.

We’re grateful for the energy, curiosity and hard work they brought to Cottage Health this summer, and to the teams across the organization who helped mentor and support them along the way.

We’re proud of all they accomplished and wish them continued success in what comes next.

Living well with diabetes starts with the right tools and support.

Cottage Health offers free virtual diabetes classes covering practical topics including carbohydrate counting, reading nutrition labels, exercise, diabetes complications and more.

Classes are held on the first and third Wednesdays of each month from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.

A summer day well spent!

Our annual Employee Picnic brought colleagues and their families together for an afternoon filled with food, music, games, face painting, relay races and time to enjoy one another’s company.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and to the teams who helped bring the event to life. It was a great day to connect, recharge and spend time together as a Cottage Health community.

Should You Be Concerned About Your Child's Eating Habits?
Join us for a free virtual conversation about feeding and eating habits in children and adolescents, including what’s typical, what may be a sign of concern, and when to seek support.

Thursday, August 27 | 4–5 p.m.

Adolescent medicine specialist, Dr. Maria Demma Cabral will discuss:
• Signs and behaviors to watch for
• Typical eating habits vs. concerning behaviors
• Early warning signs of eating disorders

• When and how to seek professional support

Temporary ADA Parking Change
Due to sidewalk construction near the Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital entrance, ADA parking spaces are temporarily impacted. Patients and visitors who need ADA-accessible parking may use complimentary valet service at the main entrance, available 24/7.

The work is expected to take about three weeks. Thank you for your patience as we make these improvements.
