Richard Somers Memorial Park Enhancement-An Eagle Scout Project

We spent three full days this week leveling the ground, while adding the needed subbase to get the ground ready for the paver installation:

✔️ 12 TONS of crushed concrete and then
✔️3 TONS of sand

🎉 FINALLY!! 🎉
The engraved bricks have arrived in Somers Point! 🤩

Over 100 engraved bricks were ordered by members of the community! Additional funds, materials and supplies have also been donated by local individuals, businesses and community organizations, which has made my project a reality. My family and I are so grateful for so much community support!

WE NOW HAVE WALLS!
✅ 2nd Concrete Delivery complete!

This knee wall will have a capstone on top that will provide seating throughout the area.

Memorial Day 2015. My brother Eli was finally old enough to join Scouts that month, and I had just made my Wolf Cub rank.
