The Somers Point Easter Egg Hunt is held Thursday, April 2nd at 5:30 PM at JFK Park.
This event begins promptly at 5:30 PM. Please bring your own basket. The event is first come first serve for eggs. This event ends quickly, however we will have the Easter Bunny in the gazebo for photos! This is a free community event, hosted by our Somers Point Police Department, Somers Point Recreation and assisted by our Somers Point Public Works and Somers Point Fire Companies.

Chief Denan leaves a lasting legacy with the entire Somers Point Fire Department. He was a dedicated member of the Somers Point community, serving in many capacities. We stand with our brothers and sisters of Somers Point Volunteer Fire Department Company #2, and with the Chief’s family during this difficult time.

Yesterday at approximately 12:00 p.m., the Somers Point Fire Department responded to a report of a struck gas main at the Paddle Club construction site located at Bay and Pleasant Avenue. Crews from both companies remained on scene for approximately five hours while South Jersey Gas worked to contain the leak. Scullville Volunteer Fire Co. covered the city during the incident.

This past Sunday, at around 11pm, Engine 44 responded into Galloway for a Tanker Task Force assignment. 44’s crew assisted with suppression efforts and returned to the city around 3am.
