🎗️Early Detection Saves Lives 🎗️

Regular breast cancer screenings are one of the most effective tools we have in the fight against cancer. Detecting breast cancer early, before symptoms develop, can lead to more treatment options, less invasive procedures, and significantly higher survival rates. Many women diagnosed at an early stage are able to recover fully and return to living healthy, active lives.

Breast cancer can affect anyone, regardless of age or family history. That is why medical professionals emphasize routine screenings, including mammograms, ultrasounds, and in some cases MRIs, as vital to early detection. For those with increased risk factors such as a family history of breast or ovarian cancer, genetic counseling and enhanced monitoring may also be recommended

Your health matters.
Take time this month to schedule your screening or encourage someone you care about to do the same. Awareness leads to action, and action saves lives.

At the start of September our squad stood by at the Dead Man’s Curve auto show. This was a huge 3 day event showcasing a variety of cars, bands, vendors, and family friendly entertainment. It was a busy, fun filled weekend for all!

Today we remember 9/11—all the victims, their families, and of course all the first responders who heroically did everything they could to help. Special thanks to Canal Walk for hosting a 9/11 Remembrance event today, allowing the community to come together and reflect on the 25th anniversary.

Our squad frequently holds community CPR classes as a way to teach lifesaving skills to those around us. Last night, we held a class for members of Canal Walk, teaching them basic CPR and steps to take if someone is found unresponsive. The crowd was very attentive and it is always a good day when we can teach others how to save a life 🚑
