We encourage all customers to review this important information regarding the quality of their drinking water.

Somerset County has been placed under a Drought Watch by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) due to consistent dry conditions. In a Drought Watch, we should all be seeking to reduce water use by about 5 percent through voluntary conservation measures. For more information, please search "Drought Information" at www.dep.pa.gov.

The 2023 Annual Drinking Water Quality Reports (commonly referred to as Consumer Confidence Reports (CCR's)) prepared by STMA are available for review at www.stmawatersewer.com. There is a report for each of STMA's water systems: Friedens, Listie, Oakridge, and Reading Mines. You may contact our office at (814) 445-5842 for a copy of your water system's CCR.

STMA customers served by the Verizon Interconnection will have an interruption in water service due to a required repair by Somerset Borough in connection with its water line improvement project. Beginning at 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening, June 18, 2024, STMA customers along SR 601 from the Turnpike Bridge near Verizon to the Route 219 Interchange near Walmart and side streets will be without water service until about 4:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 19th. This break is affecting STMA customers on North Center Avenue, etc.

UPDATE:
The leak has been isolated, service is being restored!
No further updates will be done!

There is a Water line break in the area of E-Main Street and Beach St. It is affecting the main feed to the East side of town and Somerset Township!
Crews are trying to isolate the line to bring pressure and service back online!
We will provide updates as we can.

Somerset Boro has experienced a water line break on East Main St. The repair may interrupt water service for STMA customers on SR 601 and side streets. The repair is going to be made as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience.

INTERRUPTION IN WATER SERVICE - 601 NORTH AND SIDE STREETS - Sunday evening, March 3rd. In connection with Somerset Borough's water line improvement project, STMA customers serviced by the Verizon Interconnection will have an interruption in water service for construction purposes. Beginning at 11:00 p.m. on Sunday evening, March 3, 2024, STMA customers from the Turnpike Bridge near Verizon to the Route 219 Interchange near Walmart will be without water service until about 5:00 a.m. on Monday, March 4, 2024. We apologize for this interruption and appreciate your cooperation.
