The Village of Somerset has officially released its Request for Proposals (RFP) for a Public Safety Campus Feasibility Study.

The study will evaluate current and future facility needs for Police, Fire/Rescue, and potential future EMS services. It will include stakeholder engagement with the Town, Fire/Rescue, EMS partners, and other applicable stakeholders.

Somerset Fire/Rescue Training Update 🔥🚒

Tuesday was a tough one — we pushed through 90-degree heat in full turnout gear inside our acquired structure for realistic hands-on training. Our crews practiced fire containment 🧯 while successfully rescuing two simulated victims 👨‍🚒. The conditions were brutal, but that’s exactly why we train like this. 🔥

Real emergencies don’t wait for perfect weather. When the call comes in, whether it’s a blazing summer day or the middle of winter, our firefighters need to be ready to perform at their best. Training in these demanding conditions builds the endurance, skills, and muscle memory that save lives when it matters most.

Huge thanks to everyone who showed up and gave it their all — this is what dedication to our community looks like. Proud of this team! 💪
