The Borough of Somerset's Department of Public Works (DPW) is proud to celebrate National Public Works Week, May 17–23, 2026, an annual observance sponsored by the American Public Works Association (APWA) since 1960. This year’s theme, “Rooted in Service, Powered by Community,” honors the dedicated men and women whose work sustains the infrastructure and services that Borough residents rely on every day.

From delivering clean drinking water and maintaining miles of underground infrastructure, sewer line maintenance, plowing snow and responding to emergencies around the clock, Somerset Borough's DPW staff work both visibly and behind the scenes to keep the town clean, safe, and resilient.
