On my first evening exploring Madeira Island, I headed to Pico do Areeiro located in the center of the island. On a clear day, one would get a 360-degree view of the Atlantic Ocean and coastal viewpoints. But on this day, this mountain valley was covered with clouds and provided a cinematic mountain backdrop. It was blissful watching the sun go down and marveling at Madeira’s mountainous Massif.

Mount Fitz Roy is the majestic mountain that dominates the landscape in Patagonia. I had a wonderful opportunity to explore this mountainous region during the peak fall season in Argentina.
Here are a few sunrise shots taken in the region. We would often wait in super windy & cold conditions for the sunrise and my mind went mute every time as I witnessed the golden color shining over the mountain and the surrounding landscape.

Happy almost Autumn season !!. I’m looking forward to the most colorful time of the year. Here is a shot from Patagonia taken earlier this March during the peak Fall season. I loved these dead tree branches poking out of colorful foliage.

I spent the week before Labor Day hiking in the Canadian Rockies. I got an opportunity to witness some of the stunning lakes in the area which are all fed from the Glaciers descending from the mountains. Canada truly is blessed with water resources, Epic Glaciers, and Thundering waterfalls.
At the same time, it was sad to notice many of the Glaciers receding at an alarming rate. Here are some of my favorite lake shots from the trip.

I just heard today is World Photography Day. I’m thankful to all the awesome photographers I have met over the years for everything they have taught me about taking Photos. I always admired watching their work and approach to nature photography. This is a photo I captured near the Natural Bridges Marine Reserve in Santa Cruz, California. Early Sunset conditions looked bleak and I wasn’t particularly excited to shoot. I was ready to pack up and leave. Another photographer who was shooting near me suggested waiting for the Sun to completely go down and we might get lucky. I’m glad I took his suggestion and ended up capturing this scene.
