Somerset-Pulaski County EMS We provide Advanced Life Support to the county’s residents, as well as the landlocked areas of Russell and Wayne Counties.

(Adapted from the Chief's Message) SPCEMS was established on April 16, 1983 as a joint effort between Pulaski County and the City of Somerset in an effort to insure that our citizens and visitors would have access to dependable, high quality emergency medical service. We are located in the rolling hills of south central Kentucky and are the primary emergency medical responder for Pulaski County, serving a population of approximately 60,000. We are also the primary emergency medical responder for a lake-locked portion of Wayne County, serving a population of approximately 2000. Our funding is derived from various sources including our county occupational tax, grants and service fee collections.

The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for our area, in effect until 8 PM Friday, September 4.

🌡️ Heat index values could reach around 105 degrees with the combination of high temps and humidity.

Here's how to stay safe:
💧 Drink plenty of fluids
❄️ Stay in an air-conditioned space when you can
☀️ Avoid direct sun during peak hours
📞 Check on elderly relatives and neighbors

Heat illness can sneak up fast, so take it seriously and look out for each other.

Effective immediately, 606-679-6388 is the ONLY business phone number for Somerset-Pulaski County EMS.
