𝒮𝒶𝓉𝓊𝓇𝒹𝒶𝓎𝓈 𝒶𝓇𝑒 𝒻𝑜𝓇 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝒷𝑜𝓎𝓈 (𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝑔𝒾𝓇𝓁 😉)

Crews started the day with the annual Tunnel to Towers Stair Climb at Patriot’s Stadium. The climb, like the annual 5K, was created to honor Stephen Siller and all those who lost their lives on September 11th. Funds are raised to support First Responders and military. Approximately 2,200 feet of track is walked, in gear!! 🙌

Meanwhile, 6 members attended bailout training. Water Day at Zarephath was a blast…
In between all of this, 4 fire calls were answered by the same crews who attended the events and training. Talk about dedication 👏.

Warm today, hot tomorrow, and even hotter the next day! While the next few days isn’t being considered another heat wave, we do have an extreme heat watch on Wednesday, so be prepared, stay hydrated and stay cool!

While the last few days have been HOT and humid, this may look like a fun spray down…but it’s actually our District Hazmat training!

During or after some Hazmat incidents, decontamination is required to remove, neutralize, or prevent the spread of chemicals. This includes people, PPE, and equipment. Training on this streamlines what could be a complicated process with setting up the operation and assisting individuals through the process.

Most during Memorial Day would be grilling, beaching, enjoying the time off. Perhaps we could use this rainy day as a time to reflect on what Memorial Day actually is, those that lost their loved ones in action so we could be free.
