Hello Idlehurst parents! Just a friendly reminder that tomorrow is our end-of-the-year celebration. All our fun activities will start at 4 PM and will end when the program concludes at 5:30 PM. Please send children with the necessary items: snacks, water, change of clothes, towel, sunglasses/hat. If you'd like to donate snacks and drinks for everyone tomorrow, it would be highly appreciated!

Please note that kindergartners may be dropped off tomorrow to participate in the very last day of SYC. I know they have graduation, and I'm not sure if they go home or still attend school after. If they get sent home with you, feel free to stop back by and let them join the fun activities!

Good Morning Everyone,

As the end of the school year approaches, it is with mixed emotions that we announce the conclusion of the SYC program. During this final week, children at the elementary program will have the opportunity to tie-dye t-shirts, which they can wear on the last day of school and SYC, June 11, 2024.

On June 11th, Idlehurst SYC will host a variety of fun activities for the children, including decorating and signing each other's t-shirts, engaging in water activities, and enjoying treats from a Kona Ice Truck arriving at 4:00 PM. Parents are welcome to participate in the Kona Ice Truck when picking up their children, but please note that we can only cover the cost for children who are part of SYC.

Please ensure that children wear their tie-dyed shirts on the last day so we can take a group photo to share on Class Dojo for parents to save and print. Additionally, kindly send your child with a change of clothes and a towel.

We appreciate your support and participation in our program. Have a wonderful rest of your week!

Next week is faculty appreciation week! This is the schedule of the events the PTA is sponsoring to help show our appreciation for all the hard working faculty. Here is how you can help!
1. Send in a thank you card (handmade ones by the kids are great!) to the faculty your child interacts with thorough out the day ( don’t forget classroom helpers, essentials like art, gym etc, janitorial staff and office staff)
2. HELP US CHALK THE WALK!
The third annual chalk the walk where we decorate the walkways for the faculty is Monday 5/6 from 530-7 at both schools. Rain date 5/7

Congratations to our Rocket League Esports Team who in their 1st season and session qualified for the playoffs! 💙

SYC middle school students had such a blast yesterday on the ice at Somersworth Lions Club. Many of them were very green skaters, but everyone was such a good sport, getting right back up when they fell (and they fell!), and stayed on the ice right up until it was time to go!

Huge thank you to the Lions Club for allowing us to come, use the skates, and for all the help!
