⚠️ TORNADO SIREN OUT OF SERVICE ⚠️

The tornado siren at Cotaco School is out of service until further notice due to a lightning strike.

All residents in the county should have multiple ways to receive weather alerts, including a NOAA Weather Radio, the Morgan County EMA app, and MorganALert. Never rely on outdoor warning sirens as your only source of emergency information.

We will provide an update once the siren is back in service.

Today, as voters head to the polls, consider stopping by the fire station. Take the time to examine our new signs and the renovated entrance to the storm shelter. Our signs now feature reflective material for improved visibility. The storm shelter is now accessible on the east side of the building through the side door. We are grateful for your support and encourage you to prioritize your safety. Thank you from the Cotaco volunteer members.

If Morgan County goes under a tornado warning, we will open our storm shelter. Remember, no pets are allowed in the storm shelter, and no smoking or va**ng is permitted in or around the building. If you come please go directly to the shelter and do not hang out in the kitchen area.
