🚑Training never stops at Fayette County EMS!🚑

Today, some of our crews traded the ambulance for the classroom as they participated in Neonatal Resuscitation Program training. While we hope these skills are rarely needed, being prepared for life’s most critical moments with every class and every skill practiced helps ensure our providers are ready to deliver the highest level of care when seconds matter most—especially for our tiniest patients! 👶🏻❤️

There are many unsung heroes who help make the National a success, and Greg Tapp—an EMT with the Fayette County Emergency Medical Services—is one of them.
Amazingly, Greg has missed riding only one brace of the National since 1993. His dedication and commitment over the years have been nothing short of remarkable. Throughout his long service, Greg’s extensive training and calm professionalism have been called upon many times along the course. In several of those critical moments, his presence and swift action made the difference between life and death.
Thank you, Greg, for your unwavering service, your countless hours of commitment, and for helping make riding in the National a safer experience for us all. Your work does not go unnoticed, and we are deeply grateful.

Our crews are working hard to respond to all calls as quickly as we can. Please do not venture out if not absolutely necessary as anything can happen on these roads. They are improving, but will be days before things are routinely passable.
