Maybe they seemed unusually withdrawn, irritable, anxious or disconnected from the family. Being moody isn’t always “just a phase.”

A change in behavior does not automatically mean drug or alcohol use, but it can be a sign that your teen needs support.

Noticing the change and checking in could make all the difference.

Last night, we came together to walk with purpose, spread hope, and remind one another that no one has to face life's struggles alone. 💜

Thank you to every person who participated in our Su***de Awareness and Prevention Walk. Your presence, support, and willingness to stand together helped send a powerful message: Every life matters. Every story matters. And there is always hope.

Su***de awareness is more than one event or one month—it is about checking on one another, listening without judgment, speaking openly about mental health, and reminding those who may be struggling that they are not alone.

To everyone who walked, volunteered, supported, and shared in this meaningful event: Thank you for helping us shine a light in the darkness and for being part of a community that chooses hope, compassion, and connection.

Together, we can make a difference. Together, we can save lives. 💜

A few weeks into the school year, routines are settling in, friendships are forming…and new problems may be surfacing.

Teasing, exclusion, rumors, hurtful messages or bullying can begin quietly and become more serious over time. Parents, check in with your children and listen closely. A change in mood, sleep, appetite or attitude toward school may be their way of showing that something isn’t right.

Students, look out for one another. Save someone a seat. Include the person standing alone. Speak up and tell a trusted adult when you see bullying.

Kindness can change the direction of someone’s entire school year.

Drug and alcohol pressure usually doesn’t look like a “bad guy” waiting in an alleyway.

It often looks like a friend, teammate, classmate or someone your teen trusts.

Seventy percent of teens are influenced by their peers when it comes to drugs and alcohol. But peer influence can work both ways. One confident choice, one encouraging word or one friend willing to say, “We don’t need that,” can change the direction of an entire group.

Be the friend who makes the healthy choice easier.

Sometimes the best family conversations happen when you’re not sitting around the table. A simple walk gives everyone a chance to get moving, breathe a little, and reconnect without the usual distractions. You don’t need a special destination or a big chunk of time. Just step outside, walk together, and see where the conversation goes. Those everyday moments can become some of the ones kids remember most.

💊 ONE PILL CAN KILL.

Illicit fentanyl is being found in counterfeit pills and other illegal drugs, often without the person taking them knowing it is there.

You cannot see, taste, or smell fentanyl. A pill that looks like a legitimate prescription medication may contain a deadly dose.

Talk to your teens. Never take a pill that was not prescribed specifically for you and provided by a licensed pharmacy.
