Somerville Council on Aging The Somerville Council on Aging - supporting older adults in the City of Somerville.

The Somerville Council on Aging supports older adults in their efforts to maintain their independence by enhancing growth, dignity, and a sense of belonging in mind, body, and spirit while they age in place. We have a responsibility to provide access to fitness, health, and wellness activities, socialization opportunities, educational programs, transportation, and support services. Events, groups, services, trips and our health & wellness activities are advertised on the City’s cable television station, the City’s web site, Facebook, and are published in our monthly newsletter.

Thank you to the many vendors who attended the Council on Aging Social Welfare Benefits Fair. At the fair, residents were able to sign up for fuel assistance, speak with the Attorney General’s Office, file a 311 request and learn about energy assistance programs!
