Yesterday our steer exhibitor, Ava Stockton, made us proud at the Petaluma Fair! Placing 3rd in her market class with her steer Lefty and 6th with her steer Poncho.

Congrats Ava!! We are so proud of all your hard work and dedication to your project. Thank you for representing Sonoma Valley FFA so well!

Our rabbit exhibitors had an outstanding day at the Petaluma Fair’s rabbit show yesterday!

Brianna Tellez and Kyra Decker made their rabbit show debuts, while Faith Hoffman exhibited six rabbits from the Mini Lop herd she has carefully built over the years; making all of their performances that much more impressive!

Brianna Tellez: competed in Senior Showmanship and earned a score in the high 80s.

Kyra Decker: earned 2nd Place Holland Lop Junior Doe and also scored in the high 80s in Senior Showmanship.

Faith Hoffman earned:

- 3rd Place Senior Rabbit Showman
- Mini Lop Best of Breed
- Mini Lop Best Opposite
- Best of Show (her homebred Mini Lop being selected as the best rabbit in the entire show!)

We are proud of all three exhibitors for their hard work and dedication to their projects. The way these girls came together yesterday was a true picture of teamwork and sportsmanship. They made all seven hours of the show day fun, keeping their energy high and supporting one another every step of the way. We’re honored to have such incredible representatives of Sonoma Valley FFA. Congratulations, ladies!!

What an incredible day Sonoma Valley FFA had at the Petaluma Fair yesterday!

Congratulations to Kylie Zeigler, who had an outstanding day exhibiting her Alpine dairy goats and earning:

- Champion Senior Showman
- Alpine Junior Champion
- Alpine Senior Champion
- Supreme Champion
- Best Doe in Show

Kylie’s hard work, dedication, and countless hours caring for her animals paid off in a big way. To say these buckles and banners are well deserved would be an understatement, and we are incredibly proud of the way Kylie continues to represent Sonoma Valley FFA in such an honorable manner. We’re holding on to these moments a little tighter before she heads off to Montana State this fall and can’t wait to see all she accomplishes in this next chapter. Congratulations, Kylie!

Such an amazing trip to Neve Flower Farm!

Our floral students had the opportunity to learn firsthand about the floral industry from one of our very own local, sustainable flower farms right here in Sonoma County. From production practices and sustainability to harvesting and marketing, students gained valuable insight into what it takes to operate a successful floral business while supporting local agriculture.

Thank you to Chris Neve and the rest of the Neve team for taking the time to share your knowledge and passion with our students. Experiences like these help bring classroom learning to life!

Another year of Sonoma Valley FFA Ag Days in the books! It never fails to impress us watching our agriculture students become the agriculture educators. Teaming up to create a completely student organized and operated event; our officer team facilitates the logistics, while our Advanced Agriscience class uses the knowledge they’ve acquired throughout the year to create engaging presentations, focused on the different aspects of agriculture represented throughout our school farm. We’re already excited for next year!!
