The National Weather Service Has Issued a Wind Advisory for

Brown, Callahan, Coke, Coleman, Concho, Crockett, Fisher, Haskell, Irion, Jones, Kimble, Mason, McCulloch, Menard, Nolan, Runnels, San Saba, Schleicher, Shackelford, Sterling, Sutton, Taylor, Throckmorton, and Tom Green Counties
(An advisory is issued when a hazardous weather or hydrologic event is occurring, imminent or likely. Advisories are for less serious conditions than warnings, that cause significant inconvenience and if caution is not exercised, could lead to situations that may threaten life or property.)

Wind Advisory issued October 16 at 11:01AM CDT until October 16 at 7:00PM CDT by NWS San Angelo TX

* WHAT...North winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.

* WHERE...Across West Central Texas.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 30 to 39 mph with higher gusts are occurring or expected. Winds this strong can knock down tree limbs and make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Secure loose outdoor objects. Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.

FLOOD WATCH IS CANCELLED...

The Flood Watch is cancelled for a portion of west central Texas,
including the following areas, Callahan, Coke, Coleman, Concho,
Crockett, Fisher, Haskell, Irion, Jones, Nolan, Runnels, Schleicher,
Shackelford, Sterling, Sutton, Taylor, Throckmorton and Tom Green.

Flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat. Please continue to
heed remaining road closures.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Northwestern Kimble County in west central Texas...
Southwestern Menard County in west central Texas...
Southeastern Schleicher County in west central Texas...
Northeastern Sutton County in west central Texas...

* WHEN...Until 1000 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 653 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.75 and 2 inches of rain
have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

Eldorado, Menard, Fort Mckavett, The Intersection Of Us-190 And
Ranch Road 2084, Camp Sol Mayer, The Intersection Of Ranch Road
2596 And Ranch Road 864, Us-277 Near The Sutton- Schleicher
County Line and The Intersection Of Us-83 And Highway 29.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.

Callahan, Coke, Coleman, Concho, Crockett, Fisher, Haskell, Irion, Jones, Nolan, Runnels, Schleicher, Shackelford, Sterling, Sutton, Taylor, Throckmorton, and Tom Green Counties

(A Watch is used when the risk of a hazardous weather or hydrologic event has increased significantly, but its occurrence, location or timing is still uncertain. A watch means that hazardous weather is possible. People should have a plan of action in case a storm threatens and they should listen for later information and possible warnings especially when planning travel or outdoor activities.)

Flood Watch issued October 15 at 1:01PM CDT until October 16 at 7:00AM CDT by NWS San Angelo TX

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following
counties, Callahan, Coke, Coleman, Concho, Crockett, Fisher,
Haskell, Irion, Jones, Nolan, Runnels, Schleicher, Shackelford,
Sterling, Sutton, Taylor, Throckmorton and Tom Green.

* WHEN...Through Friday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water
crossings may be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- There is an increased danger to lives and property due to flash
flooding. Flash flooding is likely and considerable flash
flooding is possible.

- With a series of upper-level disturbances and an approaching cold
front interacting with a very moist airmass, expect focused areas
of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and tonight. Heavy
rainfall in short periods of time will bring a risk of flooding
and flash flooding.
