Applications are now open for the 42nd Annual Historic Downtown Sonora Christmas Parade! This year's parade will be held on Friday, November 28, 2025. The parade starts promptly at 6:00 pm rain or shine.

The Sonora Firefighters Association is proud to share the official announcement that one of our Captains has been selected to be the next Fire Chief for the City of Sonora. We look forward to working with Captain Gregory in his upcoming new role. We would also like to thank the City Council and City Administrator Melissa Eads for choosing to hire from within and giving Captain Gregory this opportunity.

The City of Sonora has picked Brittan Gregory to be the next Fire Chief.

E756 was dispatched to the 6-5 fire yesterday afternoon. Throughout the day and into the night the crew was actively engaged in structure protection and fire suppression efforts. After a long day/night the crew is slated to be released later this morning. The station also remained covered with a Captain, Engineer and Intern Firefighter
