It was wonderful meeting students, sharing information about career opportunities in public service, and introducing future professionals to the many ways they can make a difference in their community through water and utility services.

🐐 TUD's four-legged landscaping team chewed through their to-do list!

These hardworking goats are helping TUD manage vegetation the natural way by clearing grasses, weeds, and brush in areas that can be difficult to reach with equipment.

Not only are goats an eco-friendly alternative to traditional vegetation management, they also help reduce wildfire fuels without the use of spark-producing equipment, fuel, or herbicides. In fire-prone areas, that means fewer ignition risks while still getting the job done.

Recognizing the importance of long-term water reliability, the Tuolumne Utilities District Board of Directors recently adopted a resolution supporting Vision for Our Water Future, a statewide effort led by the Association of California Water Agencies (ACWA).
This initiative brings together water agencies from across California to advocate for policies that strengthen water supplies, invest in critical infrastructure, protect the environment, and build more resilient communities.
For TUD, joining this vision reflects our commitment to providing reliable water service while helping shape a sustainable water future for the communities we serve. Tuolumne Utilities District (TUD) has contracted with Peterson Excavation to perform sewer system upgrades at the intersection of Snell St and Bonanza Rd in Sonora. The work is scheduled to take place starting Monday, August 10, 2026, through Friday, August 14, 2026, between 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

During the work, flagging and one-lane traffic control will be in effect with expected wait times up to 15 minutes. Motorists are encouraged to take alternate routes if possible.

Tuolumne Utilities District (TUD) has contracted with K.W. Emerson to conduct a paving project on Leland Drive and Shawnee Drive. Paving activities are scheduled to take place on Friday, July 10, 2026, from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

During the work, flagging and one-lane traffic control will be in effect with expected wait times of less than 10 minutes. Motorists are encouraged to take alternate routes if possible.
