🙌 TES SALUTES AUGUST CHARACTER KIDS!
Each month, students at TES explore a character word for the month. The character word for the month of August is "caring." Each homeroom teacher selected one student that they felt strongly demonstrated this characteristic. Each student receives a Certificate of Character, has lunch on the stage, and earns extra recess time.

Recipients are:
• Kindergarten: Raleigh Smith, Paisleigh Wheeler, Amzeah Haynes, and Iker Meza
• First Grade: Ian Byrd, Chrislei Baker, Madilyn D***s, and Allie Shurling (not pictured)
• Second Grade: Tamisha White, Annistan Ware, Egan Byrd, and Avah Harswell
• Third Grade: Rhylee Pierce, Emmarie White, Mia Mason, and Cora Rosen
• Fourth Grade: Kenyatte Harden, Hudson West, Raven Foskey, and Jeremiah Nelson
• Fifth Grade: Bexley Bass, Eva Gibson, Kenzlee Mills, Dylan Warren, and Raylynn Hester (not pictured)

After a few technical difficulties with our photos this week, we’re finally ready to share highlights from TMS Homecoming & 8th Grade Night! 👏

Congratulations to our new TMS Homecoming King and Queen, Errison Miller and Pai'Shence Coleman! We also want to recognize all of the students who represented TMS as members of this year’s Homecoming Court. Each of you looked wonderful, and we are proud to have you represent our school!

It was also a special night as we recognized and celebrated our 8th-grade athletes and all they contribute to TMS!

Although the rain brought the game to an early end at halftime, it certainly didn’t put a damper on a great night of celebrating our TMS Vikings! ❤️🖤

🏈 Congratulations to Za'kian "Peanut" Tobler for being selected as this week's Farm Bureau Player of the Week!

Tobler rushed for 117 yards, scored 1 touchdown, recorded 7 tackles, and blocked a field goal during the Vikings' 36-7 victory over Bryan County last Friday.

🎨🍎 Calling all student artists! The Georgia School Nutrition Association’s 2026–2027 NAC Art Contest is here! This year’s theme is “Simply the Best! Healthy Bodies, Healthy Minds!”

Students are invited to create original artwork showing what helps them feel their best at school—whether it’s a favorite healthy school meal, fruits and veggies, staying active, drinking water, or a positive cafeteria experience.

Winners will be selected in three grade categories:
• K–5
• 6–8
• 9–12

State winners will receive a $50 gift card for art supplies, a color copy of their artwork, and a certificate of achievement!

Get a head start now, and turn in all entries to "Red" Barrett by November 2nd!
