SEHIA - Southeastern Homicide Investigators Association We move our conference annually to build membership from around the US.

SEHIA is the Southeastern Homicide Investigators Association, and is dedicated to furthering education and networking for law enforcement personnel around the country and beyond. Goals of the conference

The goal of the annual SEHIA conference – to enhance the dialogue between members of law enforcement tasked with investigating the most heinous and impactful life events faced by members of society. To do so by presenting lessons learned through experience during the lengthy and diverse investigations necessary to bring closure to such cases. The conference will found an atmosphere of law enforcement knowledge sharing which can be maintained and drawn upon through the resources of SEHIA . Learning Objectives

-To expose attendees to relevant and significant case studies demonstrating the best in law enforcement.
-In a setting filled with professional law enforcement experience, an unparalleled networking opportunity.
-Revealing the current trends in forensic science and products available to the industry. Target Audience

The attendees of this conference include homicide detectives, crime scene investigators, state and district attorneys, medicolegal investigators, and those responsible for the tireless pursuit of justice for the victims of homicide and their families.

After todays presentations, join us for our Military Appreciation Dinner from 6:30 PM–10:00 PM, featuring keynote speaker Joey Jones.

Joey is a U.S. Marine who served eight years on active duty and completed two combat deployments as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) technician. He is a Purple Heart recipient who has since devoted much of his career to advocating for veterans and military families.

The official hotel room block cutoff date was August 27, but if you still need accommodations for the conference, there may still be an opportunity to secure a room at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort!

Event Manager Tara Oursler can review additional reservation requests on a case-by-case basis, as rooms remain available.
