New backpacks, fresh notebooks, a box of crayons that isn't down to nubs — every kid deserves to start the school year feeling ready. You can help make that happen for the families in our program by donating a $25 gift card to Walmart or Target.

Gift cards let parents pick out exactly what their children need, based on their grade, their school, and their interests.

This incredible $16,500 donation, presented through the New Britain Charitable Foundation, will directly support single mothers and children in our program working to overcome homelessness. For the families we serve, the start of a new school year can bring extra stress — supply lists add up fast. This summer, you can lighten that load by donating a $25 gift card to Walmart or Target.

With a gift card in hand, parents get to choose supplies that fit their child's specific needs, instead of a one-size-fits-all box.
