Mrs. McMahon's 4th grade classes discovered various genres of books through a fun week-long activity event called Book "Tasting." At each table rotation, a new genre of books was available to be discovered. Each student in the group picked their own book, read a few pages of it it get a "taste" of the book, wrote their thoughts/ reflections, then shared what they discovered with their group. At the end of class, students got the chance to reflect on their book tasting experience on a reflection "napkin." This was a well-loved activity where the students really enjoyed discovering new genres of books and books they may have never heard of before!

Mrs. Sanderson’s 2nd grade classes made the most of Homecoming Pajama Day by enjoying flexible seating all day long! From lap desks and wobble chairs to clipboards and cozy spots around the classroom, students got to create their own learning spaces. They stayed focused, engaged, and had the BEST time learning in a space that worked for them! 💙 It was a fun reminder that learning can happen anywhere.

Mrs. Harris' second graders worked on verb tenses! First, they worked with a partner to write a sentence with verb in either present or future tense, and then they illustrated their sentence. They worked on past tense verbs with a fun game of "Freeze Dance." They danced while the music played, but as soon as it stopped, they had to write the verb on the board in past tense on a paper on the floor.

SO MUCH FUN!
