CITY OF SOUTH AMBOY
NOTICE TO RESIDENTS
WASHINGTON AVENUE MILLING & RESURFACING PROJECT

The City of South Amboy has been notified by the Middlesex County Division of Highways that Washington Avenue will undergo milling, resurfacing, and roadway striping. The work will extend from Main Street to the Deep Cut Bridge, as shown by the highlighted route on the accompanying map.

Tentative Construction Schedule

• Thursday, September 10: Milling
• Friday, September 11: Paving
• Monday, September 14: Striping
• Work Hours: Approximately 7:00 A.M. – 3:30 P.M.

All dates and times are subject to change due to weather, equipment availability, or other unforeseen circumstances.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR RESIDENTS

During construction hours, residents should anticipate temporary traffic restrictions, delays, construction equipment, and limited access along Washington Avenue. Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area whenever possible and utilize alternate routes.
Residents along the affected portion of Washington Avenue are asked to remove vehicles from the roadway during construction hours to allow crews to complete the work safely and efficiently. Please observe all temporary No Parking signs, traffic-control devices, and directions from County and construction personnel.
Emergency access will be maintained.
The City of South Amboy appreciates the cooperation and patience of our residents while Middlesex County completes these roadway improvements.
