Barbara B. Rose Elementary School Barbara B. Rose Elementary is one of eight elementary schools in the Barrington 220 School District. Rose Elementary opened in 1999 in South Barrington.

Our school mascot is the Stingray.

7:30 - 3:30 It is named after Barbara Blanchard Rose, who served on the Board of Education from 1977-1981 and as a volunteer for Barrington Youth Services. In 2019 Rose celebrated 20 years of excellence in education. In 2014 Rose earned the prestigious National

Blue Ribbon Award. We enjoy a diverse student body and exceptional parent involvement. Our staff is committed to implementing best practice instruction and building a relationship-centered learning community. Our school culture places high expectations on academics and social-emotional competencies.

Thank you, Barbara Rose PTO for making us feel OZ-some!
We were greeted by beautifully inspiring chalk messages as we arrived yesterday. Yummy tacos were served at lunch today! One of our all time favorite Teacher's Appreciation Week joys is receiving flowers from the students. They're all unique and beautiful. Together, they create a wonderful bouquet, just like our students.
