Too many to tag. We can't count the number of volunteers and donors who faithfully give back to the ministry of Camp Paradise year after year.

God knows each of their names—those who are with Him today and so many who are still with us, serving side-by-side in remarkable ways to move this ministry forward.

During this 50th Anniversary season, we express gratitude for all that's been done and is continuing to be accomplished on the holy grounds of Camp Paradise. Spring and Fall work weeks make it possible for Summer Dads Camp and Women's Retreat come to life.

To each volunteer and donor—thank you for saying YES. Again. And again.

***DADS CAMP UPDATE***

Session 1 and Session 4 are going to be amazing no matter how many campers are there. But it's also true that we'd love to serve more dads with younger daughters and sons at these two sessions.

Will you join us and spread the word that we have open spots at these Dads Camp sessions?

Dads Camp provides a life-changing experience for you and your child to be stretched, strengthened, and shaped. Come to Session 1 and you'll still be home for Father's Day. Join us for Session 4 and Chef Mike says he'll make you a pre-4th of July meal you'll never forget!

"Bring your lunch." When Jesus fed 5,000+ (John 6:1-14), He took a meager meal offered up by a child, with the faith of a child, and multiplied it exponentially. God has been doing the same at Camp Paradise for 50 years.

For five decades of ministry, scores of volunteers and donors have said YES to the invitation to bring what little they think they have for God to use. Again and again, He miraculously turns it to more than we could ever ask or imagine. To God, we say thank you. And to this generous lunch-bringing community of faithful givers, thank you.

We're currently in the middle of Spring Work Weeks. Individuals and teams of volunteers are coming and going from Camp Paradise to enhance the facilities and grounds before Dads Camp Session 1 kicks-off on June 13. They're also laying groundwork for Fall Work Weeks—lots of integral building projects coming! (Maybe God's nudging you to "bring your lunch" as a volunteer or donor during this 50th anniversary season?)

Partner with us in praying for continued progress, safety, and strengthened community among those serving this Spring. And pray for those stepping up to "bring their lunch," whatever little (or much) God has given them, to give back to Camp Paradise this Summer and Fall.

"[Dads Camp] is the number one priority of our summer." -

Dads Camp isn't another summer experience, it's a family legacy builder. The Tofilon and Sternberg families know this personally. In the early 90s, Kaitlin went to Dads Camp with her dad. And today, Neil has been to Camp Paradise with his kids seven times and counting! (Our team can't wait to serve you twice this summer!!!)

The bar has been set; the baton has been passed. Imagine if grandpa John's great-grandkids get to experience Dads Camp one day too! Now that's a family legacy-building ministry.

Do you think affirmation matters? Have you experienced the power of affirming and being affirmed in your closest relationships? Affirmation is one of most important ways we can invest in those we care about. Affirming consistently in clear and specific ways is powerful, and deepens the roots of any relationship.

This past Sunday one of our longstanding Camp Paradise partner churches, Mission Church, shared how impactful affirmation is in the life of a father and child. Pastor Jon Peacock brought his daughters to Dads Camp from ages 8 to 12. He experienced coaching as a father on how to affirm one-on-one in a way that seeps into the heart. Listen to what he shared with the Mission community starting at 14:30 in his sermon below. You won't regret it.

Hey Campers 🏕️ — Here’s an update from Pastor Dan and crew during opening week at Camp Paradise. They’re on stick patrol, cleaning up lots of down trees from all the storms this winter in the U.P. No damage to buildings! Can we get an amen? 🙌 But your beloved s’more stick might be in the burn pile. Good news, there’s plenty more in the woods for you when you get here!
