Who We Are
We were founded by missionary statesmen Dr. Lester Sumrall (1913-1996) in 1987 to respond to those who pray “Give us this day our daily bread…”

What We Do
Feed the Hungry has delivered more that $400 million in food and supplies to hungry, hurting people in 92 countries around the globe. We respond with emergency food and relief to assist vic

tims of natural and man-made disasters like Myanmar earthquake, Gulf Coast hurricanes, war in the Ukraine and humanitarian aid in Africa. Feed the Hungry currently provides daily, nutritious food to over 620,000 children around the world. How We Work
Through financial and prayer support like yours, we deliver food and supplies using a pastor-to-pastor and church-to-church strategy. What Makes Us Different
Feed the Hungry directly oversees the entire relief process to make sure your contributions get into the hands of those who need it most – when they need it most. Under our direction and leadership, food is distributed through local church leaders who know their people and community needs. Even more important, hope is shared with hurting people who need to know they are not forgotten. Distribution of life-changing Bibles and other gospel centered resources help our partners on the ground feed the spiritual hunger of those to whom they minister.

Monthly Highlight Ukraine: Daniel, Director of Feed the Hungry Czech Republic, message for Feed the Hungry donors “Your help has a deep meaning for these heavily tested people. They were touched to hear that the money is given by ordinary people who want to help their brothers and sisters in need. They praise Jesus and gave thanks. We thank you on their behalf for your generosity.”

Monthly Highlight Ukraine: “A local 80-year-old grandmother told us how she spent weeks in the cellar and watched hundreds of tanks and armored vehicles pass by in front of her house. But in the end, she had to run away from her house. She let the dog, hen and goat out on the street, where dozens of pets released by her neighbors were already helping. When she returned, only an emaciated dog greeted her. The roof was destroyed by the explosion. There was a huge hole in one wall. The furniture was smashed and the fridge and dishes were all gone. She took out the debris herself and built a hole in the wall. The
state helped her fix her roof and the church brought her a stove and a metal chimney. She had no chance to grow something in her garden and her pension doesn’t cover basic living expenses. The food package we brought will be dismantled so that it can last two months. She was very very grateful for the food and kept saying "God bless you". Story shared by Daniel, Director of Feed the Hungry Czech Republic.

Monthly Highlight Ukraine: “A local church building we visited used to be a cabin. About a meter and a half from it was a pit that was created after a gr***de explosion. But the explosion did not damage the building. It's a miracle for the locals as most of the houses have either been completely destroyed or somehow damaged.” This site was visited by Daniel, Director of Feed the Hungry Czech Republic.

Monthly Highlight Ukraine: Daniel, Director of Feed the Hungry Czech Republic, has stories from his trip to the Ukraine. “In the village of Pervomajskoje, a crowd of mostly grandfathers and grandmothers gathered in front of the local church. Some have lost their canes, and it was lovely to see everyone helping them carry a heavy bag home.”
