Have you ever seen phenomena in the world around us and been puzzled by what was going on? Or have you looked up at the night-sky to see the stars and wanted to know more? Our Universe Revealed aims to give you an insight into the world and universe around us, demystifying phenomena and explaining the concepts which govern everything we see. Hosted by the Department of Physics at the University of

Notre Dame, this public talk series aims to make Physics accessible to all; you don’t need a background in mathematics or physics – it’s our job to explain the fundamentals of our universe in an easy to understand way. Events are held on select Tuesday, with talks beginning at 7pm and lasting around 30 minutes, with an interactive event to follow that will allow you to experience some of the tools that researchers here at Notre Dame use to better understand our universe. The talk series will showcase researchers from within the campus community with talks from faculty, postdoctoral researchers and graduate students. In addition, from time-to-time high profile external speakers will be invited to speak as part of the series. The aim of the series to to make Physics as accessible to the public as possible. Whether this is through the talks, follow-on events or any other activities, we really hope you enjoy the series and it gives you a small part of the enthusiasm the event speakers have for the subject.

The Our Universe Revealed public talk series is complete for the season, but there are still local science talks happening in our community! Pint of Science US is a global festival that brings cutting-edge research out of the lab and into local bars and cafés.

Join Notre Dame Science faculty, postdoctoral scholars, and graduate students at Counterspell Cafe in South Bend for one night—or all three—to explore a wide range of topics and engage directly with the people behind the science.
