✨ Be a buddy, not a bully!
A new school year means new classrooms, new friends, and new chances to make someone feel included. Bullying can leave kids feeling isolated, embarrassed, anxious, or afraid to come to school. A kind word, an invitation to join in, or simply standing beside someone can make a bigger difference than we realize. This school year, let’s look out for one another, include others, speak up, and choose kindness. Be the reason someone feels like they belong.

Sexual assault, harassment, coercion, and other forms of harm are not always simple or clearly defined in the way they are sometimes shown in media.
These experiences can be complex, and each person may understand or process what happened differently. There is no single way someone is expected to think, feel, or respond.
At Crisis Support Network, we meet individuals with respect and without judgment. Our advocacy is centered on listening, believing, and supporting each person as they decide what feels right for them.

As the new school year begins, it's easy to focus on backpacks, supplies, and schedules. But one of the most important things a child can have isn't something that fits in a backpack.
Every child deserves to feel safe, heard, supported, and like they belong. When children know they have trusted adults who will listen, encourage them, and believe them, they're better equipped to learn, grow, and thrive.
Let's help make this school year one where every child knows they're not alone. 💙

💜 What does it mean to be a nonprofit?
It means our purpose isn't to generate profits—it's to serve our community. At Crisis Support Network, our focus is helping individuals and families impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, and other crimes. Every meeting with an advocate, forensic interview, prevention program, and resource we provide is centered on supporting people through difficult moments and helping them move forward.
Our work is made possible through grants, community partnerships, donations, volunteers, and the support of people who believe everyone deserves access to compassionate, trauma-informed services.
On National Nonprofit Day, we're proud to be part of a community that believes in showing up for one another. Thank you to everyone who helps make this work possible whether you've volunteered, partnered with us, attended an event, shared our posts, or supported our mission in any way. Community support makes this work possible, and we're grateful to be part of it.
