It’s that time of year for sneezing and sniffles. Pregnant moms and infants especially struggle during this time.

In honor of National Primary Care Week & RSV Awareness Month, join local health professionals at EMBER this week for a class focused on prenatal/postpartum appointments, well-child visits, and exploring the science of vaccinations & immunity.

To join us, simply follow these steps:
1. Pre-register for this class at https://redcap.link/sjcember to receive the Teams link.
2. Click the link on Thursday, Oct 8th between 5:15 pm and 5:30 pm to enter the class.
3. Participate for chances to win BABE coupons, diapers, a gift card, and other items.


We’ll also have our pregnancy/postpartum peer support group immediately following this class.

Sleep-related incidents are the leading preventable cause of death in St. Joseph County for infants.

As parents, we want to protect our child at all costs. We attend the classes, read reviews, buy the gear, babyproof… all the things. However, naptime/bedtime is the time when it’s so easy to think, “Just this once will be ok.”

In honor of National Child Passenger Safety Month, the St. Joseph County Department of Health EMBER program is hosting a free car seat clinic.

Did you know that Indiana law requires children from birth to 8 years of age to be properly secured in a child safety seat? Our goal is to keep local kids' safe and reduce preventable injuries by providing free education, safety inspections, and professional installation support from a certified car seat technician.

Qualified families can also receive a FREE car seat or booster seat provided by the Indiana Automotive Safety Program!

Event Details:
When: Tuesday, September 29th | 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Where: Near Northwest Neighborhood Center (1013 Portage Avenue, South Bend, IN 46616)
Registration: Space is limited, and pre-registration is preferred.
