Our area will be experiencing hot and humid conditions through Thursday. Be aware that exposure to extreme heat can cause severe and potentially life-threatening health problems.
Drinking plenty of water, wearing light clothing, and limiting your time outdoors can help you to stay safe and avoid heat-related issues.
It is also very important to NOT leave children or pets in a vehicle unattended, even with the air on or windows down because temperatures can climb quickly.
If someone is experiencing heat-related symptoms, please call 911 and place them in a cool area to recover.

A heat advisory is in effect today as a combination of high humidity and high temperatures expected to reach 90 degrees allow for heat indices around 100 degrees. If outside, be sure to take breaks, and stay hydrated.
