On Saturday, September 26, 2026, Indiana residents may fish without a state fishing license in Indiana waters. Free fishing days were created by the Indiana General Assembly in 1995 and are designated each year by the Department of Natural Resources. Visitors may fish in the ponds at Ferrettie/Baugo Creek and St. Patrick's County Parks during park hours (10am to 7:00pm). Free gate fee for those fishing on September 26, just show us your fishing poles!
