When learning that local incompetent St. Joseph County Judge Stephanie Steele was jockeying for a open position on, of all things, the Indiana Appellate Court (the VERY LAST place this woman should be!!), it seemed imperative to reach out to each sitting current appellate judge to underscore her ignorance in this and likely most other cases she's presided over.

Thankfully, Kara's tragic story ended more positively than many others who remain trapped in a justice system plagued by a lack of oversight and accountability—where ignorance or malice can lead to the wrongful conviction of the innocent.

Unfortunately, many in positions of authority still operate under the belief that truly innocent people are never arrested—after all, “if they were arrested, they must have done something wrong.” Rather than admitting error, they often double down on assertions of guilt, dismissing overturned convictions as the result of “loopholes” exploited by slick attorneys, rather than recognizing the failures within their own system.

Until ego is put aside for justice and accountability replaces qualified immunity, there will be no change, and others will continue to suffer these injustices by those who've sworn to do otherwise.

St. Joseph County (IN) Judge Steele made it a matter of court record that she ignored her own probation department in their sentencing recommendation, stating she based her decision in that Kara 'didn't express responsibility or remorse' (because she was actually the TRUE victim perhaps??).

Now that the TRUTH of egregious gross mistakes, manipulation, and misconduct from FACT Commander Spencer, St. Joseph County Prosecutor's McKinney and Krumwied, and Judge Steele was FINALLY exposed to both free & exonerate Kara, we wonder if/when ANY of the aforementioned (and others) are so 'honorable' to step up and 'take responsibility' and 'express remorse' themselves for putting Kara thru the life-altering, terrible experiences she's suffered these last 5 yrs.?
