School starts on Monday, August 31, 2026. School Resource Officer MacLeod would like to remind us to drive carefully, and avoid any distractions while driving, especially during this time of year. Also, please expect heavier traffic and delays and plan accordingly.

We still have these blue envelopes available Monday-Friday, during our business hours, in our lobby. BHL McGann and the Town Hall have recently posted about the program so we thought we should re-share our original post from two years ago. Feel free to stop in and grab these free blue envelopes from the Down Syndrome Advocacy Project to keep in your vehicle.

We have joined with the Down Syndrome Advocacy Project of Maine to participate in the Blue Envelope Program. The program is designed to be an awareness tool between law enforcement professionals and community members with a diagnosis such as Down Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorder, dementia, anxiety, or conditions that might require additional accommodations or awareness during a law enforcement interaction.

These envelopes are available in our police station lobby. We will also hand them out tomorrow night during National Night Out.
