Water levels are dropping making it easier to assess any issues with the dam and water Turbine. The Supervisor has been updating all the county and state officials. He was told that now that the county has been declared in a state of emergency this might open up some funds to help cover repairs.

Pictures of Youngs dam, the Wellman Pond Water Turbine/ dam, and Albright creek from the stone bridge in the nature preserve. Water is super high everywhere but things are holding. The Supervisor, County Road commission and others have been monitoring.

The Treasurer's office will be open on Tuesday February 17, 2026 from 9 am to 5 pm for the final day to pay your winter taxes without penalty. You may pay by cash, personal check, money order or cashier's check. If paying in cash, you must have the exact amount - we cannot make change.

If you wish to pay by debit or credit card, you must go online to make your payment. Visit BoardmanTownshipMi.net, choose the Departments tab, pick Treasurer, and a box will be on the right side offering Property Tax information. Follow that link to a secure website to process your payment with a convenience fee.

Boardman Township is needing to fill the Zoning Administrator position ASAP. Please send letters of interest with resume to [email protected]
The position pays $9500 yearly to be paid $791.67 monthly. Mileage is also payable for miles doing official Zoning Administrator duties. The position requires attendance to the monthly township meetings on the 3rd Wednesday of the month and the planning commission meetings that are the 4th Thursday of the odd months.
