The Halifax IDA is working on the survey to help with the justification of certain census tracts in the community getting selected as a Rural Opportunity Zone. This designation will provide reduced capital gains to help encourage growth in the community around housing, business ready development, downtown development and regional asset development.

This will be discussed at our meeting on June 17 at 8:30 a.m. at 1100 Confroy Drive, Suite 1, South Boston, VA 24592.
